Stripe Test Card Numbers — Every Card + What They Trigger (2026)

Every Stripe test card number for successful charges, declines, 3D Secure, disputes, and fraud. Card, CVC, ZIP, and what the API returns. No signup, single page reference.

Reference card for every commonly used Stripe test card number. Works in Stripe's test mode when the API key starts with sk_test_ or pk_test_. In test mode, real card numbers are rejected and these test numbers charge normally without any money moving. Use any valid future expiry date, any 3-digit CVC (or 4-digit for Amex), and any ZIP.

Testing UPI, wallets, and non-card methods

For UPI, use test VPA success@stripe (succeeds) or failure@stripe (declines). For iDEAL, use the sandbox bank selector — any test bank returns a successful confirmation. For Klarna, use test email [email protected]. For SEPA Direct Debit, use IBAN DE89 3704 0044 0532 0130 00 — succeeds and triggers a mandate.

Testing gotchas

  • Amex CID is 4 digits, not 3. Passing a 3-digit CVC will fail validation before it even hits Stripe.
  • Test mode ignores country codes — the "country" a test card returns is set by the BIN, not by any card country field.
  • Radar rules run in test mode. If your live-mode Radar rule blocks tests, disable it or use a card explicitly whitelisted from Radar.
  • 3DS test cards need frontend JS. The 4000 0025 0000 3155 card will fail server-side confirmation without confirmCardPayment in @stripe/stripe-js.
